Bolen-Porter, Caglianone called up to Huntsville (SPHL)

by Casey Bryant

The Danbury Hat Tricks had a pair of players called up to the Huntsville Havoc of the SPHL. Defenseman Lenny Caglianone and forward Kendall Bolen-Porter received a promotion and will join up with the Alabama-based team this weekend.

Bolen-Porter played in 13 games with the Hat Tricks, registering four goals and five assists. A tremendous two-way player, Bolen-Porter is one of two Hat Tricks to score a shorthanded goal, also notching a primary assist on the other shortie scored by Phil Bronner.

Caglianone was a key defender in last weekend's sweep of the Watertown Wolves, playing a hard-nosed, physical brand of hockey and collecting an assist on a Nick DiNicola breakaway goal.

Bolen-Porter and Caglianone are the fourth and fifth Danbury players to receive promotions to the SPHL, respectively. That leads the FPHL in call-ups, with no other team producing more than three.

"It's been very promising to see the amount of call-ups that we have experience in our first year," head coach/general manager Billy McCreary noted. "Preparing our players to be successful at the next level is a goal of ours here in Danbury. We're thrilled for Kendall and Lenny, as they have no doubt earned this opportunity."

"We're looking forward to see who steps up in their absence," he added.

The Danbury Hat Tricks will be back in action this Friday as they look to extend their nine-game winning streak against the Watertown Wolves on home ice. Tickets are available by clicking here.
