Individual game tickets are on sale now for the latest team to call Danbury Arena home, the Connecticut Whale of the National Women’s Hockey League.

The Whale, one of the NWHL’s Founding Four franchises, are entering their fifth season in the league. Their home opener will take place Saturday, October 5th at 2:30 p.m against the Buffalo Beauts. Season tickets for the Whale’s 12 home games are available for $210, while individual game tickets are available for $20 a seat.

“We’re very excited for the upcoming season,” said Whale general manager Bray Ketchum Peel. “We’re looking forward to that home opener and getting the year going.”

“Bringing professional women’s hockey into Danbury Arena is a thrill,” said Casey Bryant, Danbury Arena Director of Communications. “This league is home to some of the best talents in hockey today and we can’t wait to showcase that for Danbury’s passionate fanbase.”

The Whale’s roster features three defenders who have played in the NWHL since the league inaugural’s season: All-Star Shannon Doyle, Jordan Brickner, and Elena Orlando. General manager Ketchum Peel is a former Isobel Cup Champion, a key member of the 2018 Metropolitan Riveters.
