Danbury adds Susi in Dispersal Draft

by Casey Bryant

The Danbury Hat Tricks selected defenseman Vinnie Susi in the FPHL Dispersal Draft of the Battle Creek Rumble Bees.

Selecting eighth in the draft, general manager Billy McCreary elected to pick up the right-handed blueliner in his continued quest to bolster the Danbury defensive corps. The Hat Tricks also added defenseman Ethan Busch-Anderson at last year's trade deadline from Battle Creek.

Susi was a bright spot in an otherwise historically dismal season for the Rumble Bees. He recorded nine points in 36 games for the Bees, with one of his two goals on the season coming against the Danbury Hat Tricks on November 22nd.

Prior to last season, Susi spent time as an assistant coach in the NA3HL for the Rochester Ice Hawks from 2016-2018. The 25-year-old will now look to crack what was one of the strongest rosters in the FPHL last season, with the novelty of being a right-handed shot working to his advantage.
