Danbury Hat Tricks Sign Alex Borowiec

DANBURY, CT -- The Danbury Hat Tricks of the Federal Prospects Hockey League announced the signing of forward Alex Borowiec.

The 24-year-old played 14 games as a rookie last season with Vermillion County in the Southern Professional Hockey League. He had four points (two goals, two assists) after turning pro March 1, including three (one goal, two assists) in his final three games of the season.

“Alex is a high character individual with an outstanding work ethic,” Hat Tricks general manager and coach Billy McCreary said. “He has good skill sets and plays a responsible game with and without the puck. We’re excited to sign him.”

A native of Denville, NJ, Borowiec (5-foot-10, 181 pounds) played four seasons at Lebanon Valley College. He was captain his senior year in 2021-22 and had 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists) in 24 games. He was selected to the All-MAC Second Team.
