Danbury Hat Tricks Sign Forward Luke Richards

DANBURY, CT -- The Danbury Hat Tricks of the Federal Prospects Hockey League announced the signing of forward Luke Richards.

The 21-year-old split last season between Stonehill College and Team Maryland of the Eastern Hockey League. He had one assist in 10 games with Stonehill College and seven points (three goals, four assists) in nine games in the EHL.

“Luke is a highly motivated individual who is looking to make an immediate impact with our club,” Hat Tricks general manager and coach Billy McCreary said. "We're looking forward to see what he brings in his rookie season."

Richards (5-foot-9, 174 pounds) is a native Wilkes-Barre, PA. He had 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 46 games with the Valley Jr. Warriors in the EHL during the 2019-20 season.

Last season, the Hat Tricks signed defenseman Johnny MacDonald after he played one season in the EHL with Team Maryland. MacDonald had 30 points (six goals, 24 assists) in 43 games as a rookie with the Hat Tricks last season.
