DANBURY SIGNS FORWARD STEFAN MIKLAKOS
DANBURY – The Danbury Hat Tricks announced today that the team has agreed to terms with forward Stefan Miklakos on a PTO contract for the 2026-27 season.
Miklakos, 26, spent the 2025-26 season in the SPHL, splitting time between the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs and Macon Mayhem. After 4 games in Roanoke, the forward joined Macon where he would finish out the season. In 52 games, the Pelham, NY native collected 7 goals and 9 assists. He skated in both of the team’s first-round playoff games vs the Peoria Rivermen.
Before last year in the SPHL, Miklakos enjoyed a successful college career at SUNY-Geneso. In 98 career games for the Ice Knights, he registered 31 goals and 29 assists. This summer, the forward also represented Greece in the 2026 Challenger Series, helping his team to a championship in the final over Jamaica.
General Manager AJ Galante provided his thoughts on the signing – “Stefan is a monstrous signing for us. He can do it all – score, set up his teammates, fight, and [he] plays hard in the defensive zone. He brings a nonstop motor and intensity that I know our fans will fall in love with.”
Head Coach John Bierchen added, “Stefan has a lot of high-end skill and spent all last season in the SPHL. We expect him to lead our team in a lot of areas next season and are really excited to have him on board.”
