DANBURY — The Danbury Hat Tricks have acquired forward Michael Falanga from the Elmira River Sharks in exchange for forward Jesse Swanson.

Falanga, 27, racked up 20 points (11 goals, nine assists) in 29 games with the Hat Tricks last season after being obtained from the Mississippi Sea Wolves.

Prior to the Hat Tricks' acquisition of Falanga, Elmira completed a trade with Blue Ridge sending Falanga and goaltender David-Ors Mag to the River Sharks for defenseman Blake Cudmore and future considerations.

Falanga, an East Haven-native, played four years of college hockey at SUNY Plattsburgh from 2017-18 to 2021-22 (29 points: 11 goals, 18 assists) before starting his professional career last season.

The 5’7”, 157lbs lefty starts year two with the Hat Tricks on Oct. 13 at the Watertown Wolves before returning home in the Hat Tricks’ home opener on Oct. 14 against Watertown.
