Hat Tricks acquire Menton from Delaware

by Herm Sorcher

The Danbury Hat Tricks made a trade to acquire Brett Menton from the Delaware Thunder in exchange for cash considerations. Menton has four points in eight FPHL games this season, split between his time in Columbus and Delaware.

Menton, capable of playing both forward and defense, will likely see time on the blueline for the Hat Tricks in their weekend set with the Battle Creek Rumble Bees. He last played with Svekgs IK prior to this season in the Swedish Division 2.

"Brett brings a lot of energy to the team," head coach Billy McCreary commented. "We're looking forward to having him on the team."

In addition, defenseman Sam Williams has been loaned to Peoria in the SPHL. Goaltender Jordan Brant was released from his contract.

The Hat Tricks will be in action tonight and tomorrow against the Battle Creek Rumble Bees. Tickets can be purchased here.
