HAT TRICKS COMPLETE SWEEP IN DELAWARE, WIN 4-1
HARRINGTON, DE – The Danbury Hat Tricks (23-9-3, 68 pts) skated to a 4-1 win over the Delaware Thunder (2-26-1, 6 pts), completing a sweep and their sixth-straight victory on Saturday night.
After a six-point night on Friday, Jonny Ruiz put together another outstanding performance. The Hat Tricks’ captain scored a goal and added two assists to end the series with nine points. He leads the Hat Tricks with 34 goals and 61 points, while ranking second in points and third in goals throughout the entire FPHL.
Danbury also received scoring-contributions from Cory Anderson (22), Dmitry Kuznetsov (25) and Dzmitry Daniluik (2) in the win.
Brian Wilson returned between the pipes for the Hat Tricks in Saturday’s win, making 28 saves to pick up his seventh win in nine games for the Hat Tricks.
In their six-game winning-streak, the Hat Tricks have outscored opponents 31-17. Danbury has climbed well-ahead of Columbus for second-place in the FPHL with a .648 points-percentage. Third-place Columbus has recorded a .598 points-percentage thus far.
Their streak has brought the Hat Tricks level in points with first-place Watertown, but Watertown has a .782 points-percentage to remain in first.
Danbury returns home on Thursday, Feb. 10th to kick off three-straight games against Watertown.
