WATERTOWN, NY – The Danbury Hat Tricks (14-3-1, 40 pts) begin a five-game road trip on Monday at 7:30 p.m. against the Watertown Wolves (13-3-0, 38 pts).

Danbury’s 40 points are the most in the FPHL, however Watertown controls the league’s top spot based on points-percentage.

Watertown has recorded 79.2% of available points this season and leads Danbury in that category by 5.1%.

Danbury and Watertown are the only two teams in the FPHL to record over 60% of available points.

Captain Jonny Ruiz leads the Hat Tricks and sits fifth in the league with 27 points. Ruiz’s 16 goals are second most in the FPHL.

Cory Anderson has crept up the league ranks as of late as well. Thanks to seven goals in his last four games and three-straight multi-goal games, Anderson’s 15 goals are tied for third in the league with line mate Dmitry Kuznetsov and Watertown’s Alexander Jmaeff.

Watertown is led by the league’s leading point-getter, Justin MacDonald. His 32 points in just 13 games have spearheaded the Watertown attack.

In the last meeting between the two teams, MacDonald did not play. Danbury handled Watertown’s offense, winning 4-1 in Danbury on Dec. 8th.

Danbury can take possession of the top spot in the FPHL with a regulation win on Monday night. Both teams would hold their current position with any other result.

The game can be seen on Watertown’s YouTube channel at 7:30 p.m.
