Hat Tricks Partner with Crossroads Car Wash
Aug. 14, 2024
DANBURY — The Danbury Hat Tricks are proud to announce a partnership with Crossroads Car Wash of Bethel for the 2024-25 season.
As the official car wash of the Hat Tricks, Crossroads will sponsor a new in-game promotion this season, “Dirtiest Car in the Lot”. In this promotion, a dirty car will be randomly selected from the parking lot across the street from the arena. The “winning” license plate will be announced during the game and the fan with the dirtiest car in the lot will be awarded a gift certificate for a free car wash while those in the same section will receive a discounted wash.
The Hat Tricks and Crossroads will also be teaming up for a car wash during the season. Hat Tricks players and staff members will be in attendance.
“I’m excited that Crossroads Car Wash is the official car wash of the Danbury Hat Tricks,” Owner of Crossroads Car Wash Doug Lutz said. “We look forward to supporting the club and forging this partnership. Let’s go Hat Tricks!”
ABOUT CROSSROADS CAR WASH:
Crossroads Automated Touchless Carwash opened in January 2004 as the only three-bay touchless automatic facility in the state. It was received with great fanfare, attracting customers from well outside the immediate area. Many customers drove past several other car washes just to visit Crossroads. The technology, convenience, open bright bays, and, most importantly, the quality of the wash impressed customers. They were confident that the touchless technology would not damage their vehicles. Over the years, one of the touchless machines was swapped out for a Soft Touch foam cloth machine, providing customers with a choice in washing technologies. The Soft Touch machine offers friction for days when more washing power is needed, effectively cleaning heavily soiled vehicles. Crossroads Carwash strives to keep the facility well-maintained, clean, and safe, and they are always focused on staying up to date with the latest advancements in wash technology, both in equipment and washing chemicals.
Touchless washing technology provides the safest washing method for today’s soft clear coat paint finishes. In many ways, touchless washing is even safer and more efficient than washing by hand. Auto manufacturers are now using painting techniques that are far more inferior than those from just ten years ago, resulting in thinner and softer layers of finish. This makes the finish more susceptible to chipping and scratching. Friction cleaning, as used in hand washing and cloth tunnel wash facilities, can transfer sand and grit onto a vehicle, leaving fine scratches in the finish and potentially damaging side mirrors or antennas.
Touchless technology relies on hot water and specially formulated chemicals to break the static bond between dirt particles and the vehicle’s finish. The friction for washing is created by high-pressure water, which safely removes dirt without scratching the finish. There is no need to worry about the previous vehicle covered in salt, sand, or mud transferring abrasives onto your car, because there are no cloths, which tend to hold onto particles. Crossroads Carwash has invested in only the best equipment available to perform this method of washing. They do not use recycled water—only fresh water is used to wash vehicles. The water is softened and then treated to remove all mineral content, making it perfectly clean and balanced (spot-free) before being applied to the car.
