Hat Tricks Re-Sign Forward Daniel McKitrick

DANBURY — The Danbury Hat Tricks have re-signed forward Daniel McKitrick to a contract for the 2023-24 season.

The 26-year-old righty put up 45 points (20g, 25a) in 43 regular and postseason games during his first season with the Hat Tricks. McKitrick was fifth on the team in regular season goals (18) and regular season points (39).

The Coral Harbour, Nunavut, Canada native was acquired on Jan. 5 from the Mississippi Sea Wolves for defenseman Connor Lind and played in all ten playoff games for the Hat Tricks. McKitrick had nine goals and eight assists in 21 contests with Mississippi before coming to Danbury.

Prior to last year, McKitrick played for Lakehead University (2018-19 – 2019-20) in the U Sports, the national sport governing body of universities in the country.


The Hat Tricks open their 56-game regular season against the Watertown Wolves in a home-and-home series starting on the road, Oct. 13 before returning to the Danbury Ice Arena the next night, Oct. 14, for the Home Opener and banner raising.
