Hat Tricks Re-Sign Goalie Frankie McClendon

DANBURY — The Danbury Hat Tricks have re-signed goalie Frankie McClendon to a contract for the 2023-24 season.

McClendon, an Oakland-product, has been in professional hockey since 2015-16 and has spent the past two seasons between the pipes for the Hat Tricks. The 30-year-old was 10-2 last season with a 2.19 goals against average and a .917 save percentage in a backup role.

The 6-foot, 194-pound netminder has played parts of seven seasons in the FPHL/FHL with the Hat Tricks, Columbus River Dragons, Carolina Thunderbirds, Mentor Ice Breakers, Berlin River Drivers, and St.Clair Shores Fighting Saints compiling a 33-21-3 record (4.25 GAA, .886 SV%).

The Hat Tricks open their season against the Watertown Wolves in a home-and-home series starting on the road, Oct. 13 before returning to the Danbury Ice Arena the next night, Oct. 14, for the Home Opener and banner raising.
