Hat Tricks Sign Five Players to Professional Tryouts, Two Returners

DANBURY — The Danbury Hat Tricks have signed the following players to a PTO:

Chris Dusek returns to Danbury after assisting on a goal in his lone game with the Hat Tricks last season (Mar. 10). The 5-foot-10-inch defenseman came to the Hat Tricks in 2023-24 after completing his fourth season with Chatham University (NCAA lll). With the Cougars, the 25-year-old recorded 27 points (6g, 21a) in 74 games.

Gavin Frack spent the last two years between the USPHL Premier and EHL. Last season, the Redding, CT native played 16 games with the Las Vegas Thunderbirds (USPHL Premier) recording 21 points (9g, 12a) in 16 games before suiting up for the New England Wolves of the EHL (22 GP, 4-2-6, 21 PIM). In 2022-23, the 5-foot-7-inch, 21-year-old put up a career best 61 points (28g, 33a) in 43 games during his first season with Las Vegas.

Andrew LoRusso rejoins the Hat Tricks after signing a "College Agreement" with the team last season. The 25-year-old goaltender dressed in one game with Danbury (Apr. 12), but never appeared in game action. The 6-foot netminder played for three colleges over a four-year span finishing up with Western New England University (NCAA lll) in 2023-24 before hopping on with the Hat Tricks. In 2018-19, the Peabody, MA native won an EHL championship with the New Jersey Avalanche (6 GP, 4-2-0, 2.01 GAA, .903 SV%). 

Loik-Akim Pierre-Louis spent the last two seasons bouncing around five teams in the EOSHL (Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League), LHSE (Quebec Senior Hockey League), and LHSAAAQ (Quebec Senior AAA Hockey League). In 2022-23, the 6-foot-1-inch, 24-year-old appeared in two games for the Delaware Thunder (FPHL) and posted ten penalty minutes.

Reese Tamburo returns to Danbury where he started his junior career with the NA3HL Jr. Hat Tricks. From 2021-23, the 21-year-old forward put up 40 points (13g, 27a) in 72 games. Last season, the Chandler, AZ native split time in the USPHL Premier and NA3HL with the Islanders Hockey Club (7 GP, 1a, 6 PIM) and the Northeast Generals (21 GP, 8-7-15, 59 PIM).
