by Danbury Hat Tricks

DANBURY — The Danbury Hat Tricks have signed goaltender Jaxon Friedman to a Professional Tryout (PTO).

The 24-year-old netminder recently concluded his four-year college career at Johnson & Wales University, where he posted a 4.32 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage over 24 games. Prior to his collegiate career, the 6-foot-3 goalie competed in three different junior leagues (USPHL, NCDC, and NAHL), most notably with the Austin Bruins of the NAHL during the 2019-20 season.

Jaxon is the son of former NHL player Doug Friedman, who recently accepted the head coaching position for Western Connecticut State University's men's ice hockey team (NCAA lll). The Wolves, set to begin their inaugural season in the fall of 2025, will play their home games at the Danbury Ice Arena starting next year.

Welcome to Danbury, Jaxon!
