Hat Tricks sign Kelley, Bolen-Porter to roster

by Casey Bryant

The Danbury Hat Tricks have made a pair of additions to their roster, signing goaltender Dillon Kelley and forward Kendall Bolen-Porter this afternoon.

Kelley, 25, most recently played with the Fayetteville Marksmen of the SPHL. He posted a 13-14-3 record as the team's starting netminder last season with a 3.22 goals-against average and .897 save percentage. He also recorded a pair of shutouts. Kelley made two appearances in the ECHL with the Adirondack Thunder as well. A graduate of Adrian College, Kelley brings athleticism and composure to the Hat Tricks' goaltending core.

Bolen-Porter, 25, is a graduate of Finlandia University, where he played DIII hockey. He played junior hockey with the Helena Bighorns of the NA3HL, where he was a point-per-game player. A former collegiate cross-country runner, Bolen-Porter is a speedy forward capable of chewing up defensive minutes.

"We're excited to inject some new blood on the roster," Hat Tricks head coach/general manager Billy McCreary commented. "We're always looking to improve and we feel that these guys filled a need. We're looking forward to seeing what they can bring to the table."

The Hat Tricks venture down to North Carolina to take on the Thunderbirds this Friday and Saturday evening. Watch parties will be held at the Rabbit Hole in Danbury Arena. Tickets to Danbury's next home game are available here. For more information, call the main office at 203-794-1704.
