Hat Tricks Trade Forward Dmitry Kuznetsov to Mississippi

DANBURY — The Hat Tricks have traded forward Dmitry Kuznetsov to the Mississippi Sea Wolves for goalie Liam Murray.

Kuznetsov, the Tyumen, Russia-native, played 134 games with the Hat Tricks over three seasons and is second in franchise history in points (133), goals (59), and assists (69). 

In his first season with Hat Tricks, Kuznetsov burst onto the scene producing a career-high 68 points over 61 games while assisting on four goals in the postseason. During the Hat Tricks championship season, Kuzzi stacked up 49 points (23g, 26a) in 50 games plus a goal and assist in six playoff games. 

“Kuzzi has been a tremendous ambassador for the team and community,” said President and Partner Herm Sorcher. “He loves the game and became a fan favorite from the moment he joined the team. The fans love him, we love him, and we wish him the best in Mississippi.”

Murray suited up in five games with Mississippi this season posting a 4.51 goals against average and a 90.9 save percentage.
