Roster news: Hat Tricks ink Shayne Morrissey to contract

The Hat Tricks have signed forward Shayne Morrissey to the roster. Morrissey is expected to make his Danbury debut tonight against the Elmira Enforcers.

Morrissey, 28, most recently played with the Birmingham Bulls of the SPHL. In 21 games split between the Bulls and Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs this season, Morrissey posted 13 points. Last season he appeared in 10 ECHL games with the Norfolk Admirals and the Toledo Walleye.

In 108 career SPHL games, Morrissey has registered 77 points.

"Shayne is a skilled player," said head coach Billy McCreary. "We're looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the lineup."
