Tyler Hackett signs with Hat Tricks

by Casey Bryant

The Danbury Hat Tricks have signed a Connecticut native to their ranks, inking forward Tyler Hackett to a PTO contract.

Hackett, from Branford, is a recent graduate of Post University, where he led the team in scoring his senior season with 28 points in 26 games. His performance earned him NE10 Second Team All-Conference honors. He finished his collegiate career with 66 points in 84 games at the D-III level. Prior to college, he played junior hockey in Connecticut with the Eastern Hockey League's Hartford Jr. Wolfpack.

"Tyler had a great four-year career at Post," commented Hat Tricks general manager Billy McCreary. "He possesses above-average skating ability and an elite compete level. He is the type of player that can frustrate our opponents on both sides of the puck, and will bring an energy that mirrors our brand of hockey."

Hackett's first foray into professional hockey will be an eventful one as the Hat Tricks look to defend their title as Eastern Division Champions in 2020-21. Ticket information will be released in the near future for the upcoming season.
