Xtreme International Ice Racing coming to Danbury Arena

Professional racing is coming to Danbury Arena ice. Danbury Arena and Xtreme International Ice Racing (XiiR) are teaming up for a two-night special event of high-octane motorcycle and quad racing around the ice rink on January 3rd and 4th, 2020. The event is presented by Mitchell Oil, Danbury Overhead Door, Orange County Choppers and the Orange County Choppers Café.

Fans will get a close-up look at specially modified machines designed to race on ice, capable of going 0-60mph in less than three seconds. All ticket holders will receive a voucher for a complimentary tour of the Orange County Choppers Headquarters in Newburgh, NY. There will also be a special appearance at the races by Paul Teutul Sr. from the hit reality television program, “American Chopper.” 

“We’re so thrilled to bring our exciting races to Danbury,” XiiR promoter Anthony Barlow said. “Our elite riders come from all over the world, and we can’t wait to put on a great show for this city!”

Xtreme International Ice Racing has been touring worldwide since 2004, bringing fans their Speedway Bike and Quad classes of racing on ice with a crop of professional riders from around the globe. For more information, go to xiir.org.
